We are looking for a highly motivated, hard working, task driven, detail oriented, bright, passionate and creative individual with a “do whatever it takes attitude” to assist us in growing and optimizing our product base.

The Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Marketing Associate will be a driving force within Tranquility Base. The candidate will be responsible for the bottom-line success of our SEO efforts, and will maintain ownership over management, optimization and ultimately growth of total Organic Search revenue as a percentage of overall Marketing revenue.

Reporting directly to the Marketing Manager, the Marketing Associate will have the responsibility of creating, implementing, tracking, analyzing and optimizing Search campaigns. This position will utilize successful bidding strategies and effective keyword management on pay-per-click search engines. Other key duties include link development and strategies, actively testing and analyzing keywords, title and descriptions, landing pages and positioning the strategy online to increase ROI and drive additional volume. The candidate will also be responsible for managing daily relationships with search engines, partners and vendors, and providing detailed analysis of key metrics and program tracking techniques in order to increase overall search performance efficiency. The perfect candidate will have at least 3 years experience of optimizing web pages for such sites as Google, Yahoo, AOL, and MSN. A complete understanding of search engine trends and search engine algorithms is a must.

The successful candidate must know the Search landscape – paid search listing providers, tracking tools, bid-management systems and keyword development tools. The candidate must also have a minimum of 2+ years paid search optimization and online marketing experience. Experience managing marketing budgets and ROI optimization is critical to this position. The candidate must be willing to work Full Time in an In-Office Environment. The work environment is casual.

SEO qualifications will include:
• Demonstrated experience in identifying, designing, leading, implementing and monitoring strategic marketing in a complex organization.
• Demonstrate knowledge and experience in search engine optimization.
• Managing and expand our reciprocal link exchange program by finding and linking with other websites.
• Be responsible for all aspects of search engine optimization strategy and implementation
• Perform detailed site analysis and document tactics to enhance our presence in natural search results
• Optimize the various site components including copy, page title/descriptions, site architecture, filenames, etc.
• Ensuring that new site pages follow proper SEO guidelines with respect to coding and adherence to established copy/keyword standards
• Be responsible for setting up and reporting on overall SEO program success with regard to URL ranking changes, traffic changes, etc
• Be responsible for reviewing the data regularly and optimizing poor performing listings
• Use ever-increasing SEO knowledge and research to develop and recommend new SEO strategies to management
• Keep up date knowledge of current SEO practices; must maintain awareness of various SEO resources

Marketing qualifications will include:
• Building strategic relationships with all major search engine partners
• Develop and Maintain CPC accounts
• Experience planning and buying email, contextual, pops/banners, search, etc.
• Must know the process of prospecting, negotiating, and closing media deals
• Must possess an understanding of media metrics, campaign tracking and optimization
• Evaluate market demand and product/supplier performance and provide feedback to identify opportunities to maximize sales and improve customer satisfaction.
• Analyze booking patterns and business trends and identify opportunities to drive sales and increase market share.
• Develop detailed sales forecasts, financial models and valuation scenarios for potential transactions.
• Analyze current usage, identify best target audience and market penetration direction for best ROI.
• Monitor competitor product efforts, site changes and industry trends to take preemptive and responsive actions as appropriate.
• Keep abreast of industry developments relating to e-commerce to assist in the development of an e-commerce strategy.
• Have established contacts with publishers and media networks
• Analyze, test, and execute on short term and long-term strategies to enhance search marketing effectiveness (e.g., generation of new keywords, reacting to search keyword seasonality, implementation of new search technologies such as local or contextual/content search)
• Aptitude at analyzing large datasets in order to derive insights and impact business dc mind and problem-solving skills
• Adept at project management and multi-tasking in an environment of rapidly shifting priorities
• Solid communications skills, both written and verbal
• A complete understanding of search engine trends and search engine algorithms
• Experience with WordTracker or similar online keyword analysis tool
• Ability to communicate instructions, expectations and deadlines clearly and effectively
• Experience with leading search engine ranking, traffic and analysis software (Web Position Gold, Webtrends, etc.)
• Comfort with presenting new ideas and strategies to executive team
• Outstanding written communication and presentation skills


Qualifications:
• 2+ years work experience in an E-commerce environment with a minimum of 1+ years experience managing paid and natural search programs
• Advanced knowledge of HTML
• Familiarity with website traffic analytics including reading and analyzing the data
• Experience in managing significant budgets on top tier search engines (Overture, Google, MSN, AOL, Yahoo)
• Highly knowledgeable about natural search tactics and how web metrics are tracked (http headers, redirect, tracking pixels, etc.)
• Comfort with presenting new ideas and strategies to executive team
• Monitoring online marketing campaigns on a daily basis
• Analyzing performance, placements, and creative to enhance and optimize performance.
• Experience using campaign, media, sales, and tracking tools.
• Knowledge of CPA, CPC, and CPM acquisition models.
• Experience in negotiation and contract review with media vendors and creative deal-making.
• Web content management experience.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Demonstrated project management success.
• Skilled at appraising audience and adapting material accordingly.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects.
• Thrive in fast-paced, dynamic, rapid change environment.
• Must have a BS in CIS or CS or equivalent experience. Mastery of SEO can be accepted in Lieu of BS.
